I decided that more than sleep, I felt like recording something… It’s a cover of Last Night of the World by Bruce Cockburn.

Harmonicas are hard.

Urial: Ep. Reflections

I am no prophet.

I found a boy once, down by a river. He had a sister and both of them were lost.

I don’t know who Jack is. A bottle of water in the desert, a note telling me to carry on.

Stumbling in at dusk, the bartender giving me a drink saying, “Jack says you should go north.” And so I go south only to find the preacher handing me the reins to a mare saying, “Jack says go west.” So I do, and the barmaid with her hair done up in curls saying, “Whoever this Jack fellow is, he sure don’t like you.”

I don’t know who Jack is. An enemy in the dark. A hatred I haven’t warranted.

No one said this would be easy, and I don’t know where I am supposed to be goin’. I ain’t complainin’, I agreed to this. But following the breadcrumb trail seems like I can’t win.

When I was a kid, I found a boy. Literally, found him by a stream near my school. His sister came to get him and she said, “We are lost.”

Lost kids in a forest.

Lost boy in the west.

Deus Ex Machina :Origins

We’re fighting an alien invasion (bug men). We have a Winnebago that the aliens had been using. We stole it from them. The hero is named Natalie.

The men have become disenchanted, and so Natalie gives this speech that goes along the lines of, “Do you remember why you came here? Do you remember why you said you wanted to fight?” She’s holding the loyalty forms we had filled out when we signed up to fight. Some people leave - they are angry. Our leader (not Natalie) says “If you leave now, don’t come back!” and Natalie is pissed that he said that.

Natalie: has a psychic gift. Shaking hands, or touching people’s skin on skin, allows her thoughts to pass to them. She uses this in attempt to win back over the people the leader has pissed off. She has thoughts of brainwashing, but she dismisses them and doesn’t follow through.

I am an underling to Natalie. A fighter. I can see her in the foreground shaking hands with people. I pass by a woman who’s head looks oddly shaped, and shiny. I walk past her, and go down to be near Natalie, when another person like that walks by me. I realise what they are - disguised aliens. I’m standing beside Natalie now, and I pull the gun out that she has tucked in the back of her jeans. I shoot the second alien, screaming at the people on the deck, where the first alien was, to get away. But once I get up onto the deck, the alien is gone, or I’ve lost my ability to see it. We quarantine the 5 people on the steps. (Lifting Natalie’s thoughts)

Apocalypse :3

We’re in the city when the demons roll in. Neanderthals and a black guy with a black coat and black sunglasses and a gun.

We are at the bottom of the street when the demons show up and start the killing. I run up the street, and there is a girl on a bike, who I tell to go and warn the people in the houses.

But soon the demons are catching up to us, so I grab her off her bike and we try to go to the mall, but there is a fire demon burning everything up, so we try to go up the alley.

But the fire demon keeps coming and it’s too hot, when a guy with bleached blonde hair touches the ground and it turns to snow, and we hide in snow caves as the fire demon passes over.

But we don’t move because the black guy and his minion walks by, talking about how they can’t find “him.”

After they pass, blonde boy rises from his snow hideout and leads me and the girl up the alley. At the cross street, we find a stream of survivors marching to the Capital, and we fall in line behind them.

Blonde boy says, “She your daughter?” and I say no. I just found her. We all have to stick together.

The Great city

Apollo: He doesn’t know how long he has been running. Days. Years. His whole life. All he knows is that his legs hurt more to stop than they do to keep going. He doesn’t know ho long the sun has been down. Hours. Days. He can’t remember the last time the sun rose. He can’t remember the feeling of warmth.

Atlas: His father worked for the military base and had been bringing work home on a more frequent basis.

Athena: Wisdom is to know your fate, hate what you must do, who you must become, but know that that is what you must do, that is who you must become. And so you do it. You resign to your fate.

Aphrodite: bruised lip and hair pulled back in a bun. She repeats, He loves me. He loves me. He loves me. Hollywood sunglass hide purple eyes and everything is alright because::: she repeats, He loves me. He loves me. He loves me.

Stranger :Evolution to “Revolution”

The Vision hadn’t been much. She had seen these men and women, who were currently sitting across from her, staring down from the viewing room above, while doctors in green masks prepared to operate on her. There had been no sound, no smell - nothing other than the doctor’s eyes to convince her that this was not a good place to be.

When she blinked she was back in the conference room. Two of the people wearing her colours were reading the alterations to the treaty allowed.

“Girls should be allowed…”

“Women,” Sarah corrected them, and the black lady with the curly hair changed the document.

Sarah slid her hand down to her waist and clicked the safety off her gun.

“What are you doing?” The man beside her asked. She couldn’t remember his name.

“Do you trust me?”

The man nodded. “Of course, but what are you planning on doing?”

“Trust me,” Sarah said. “I know what I’m doing.” Though in truth, she couldn’t remember how to use the gun, and was surprised she even knew where the safety was.
